Final Thoughts:
This week in the Box Office Captain America was chosen #1 overall over Rio 2. Captain America took the top spot with $41,398.000 and Rio 2 took the #2 spot with $39,000.000 Rounding out the top 5 in the 3rd spot was Oclus followed by a disappointing 4th for Draft Day and Divergent takes the #5 spot. With an awful showing toward the bottom came Cuban Fury. Look for Transcendence to finish in the top 3 next week that stars Johnny Depp.
The new experiment of Mark doing Retro Reel Review solo continued with this weeks Skype guest American Idol Runner Up Bo Bice. Bo liked Captain America Winter Soldier and gave it 4 of 5 stars. Mark doing the review seems to be working out pretty well. I like it because you don't have the risk of anyone stepping on each other when trying to talk. I really like the round table discussions the way they are now than in the past with the couch. The couch just got 2 crowded.
On the other parts of the show Mark had some really good interviews lined up. The first being with Jennifer Garner and Kevin Costner for Draft Day. The one movie I am not sure about is Cuban Fury. I think Brian did a GREAT job talking to Nick Frost I'm just not sure I am sold on the movie yet.
The third and final new movie this week was Rio 2. Mark talked to 6 of the stars including Jamie Foxx and Anna Hathaway.
This week Mark brought back a new entertainer to talk about The Hobbit on DVD and Jesse from Gold Club did not like it. I kind of like this segment because you are getting real reaction and not the standard answer of how much someone liked it when they really didn't from your "Movie Critic" which is what makes Mark at the Movies so unique and different as well as enjoyable to watch because Mark and company are just like you and I.
It was a nice fun show this week on Mark at the Movies and a Mark hinted next week he talks to Johnny Depp so until then I will see you at the movie.
Guests:
Jesse can be seen at Gold Club in Rancho Cordova, CA
Bo Bice, Singer/Songwriter. Bo was Runner Up to Carrie Underwood in Season 4 of American Idol. I wanted Bo to win but you can't argue both him and Carrie really did win because they have each gone on to have nice careers. Still my favorite moment was Bo performing Vehicle
