Today's Recap:
Nha was one of thousands  to join others and do Gishwhes! which is a massive scavenger Hunt that takes place today through August 6th. Nha was with Alex the Sacramento Yelp Guy who once again found a gem. Today he took us to Sacramento Pizza Co in Folsom. Nha was learning more about The Sheriff’s Pre-Academy Recruit Training Activities (SPARTA) The program is a series of two-hour sessions designed to introduce potential Academy Recruits to the workouts and training they will encounter as part of a the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department Basic Training Academy. Nha was at the Citrus Heights Seventh Day Adventist Church who hosted a day of fun for the whole family! The event included a motorcycle show, bake sale, yard sale, bounce houses and more.


Cambi was at Sac State where from 8-4pm today the Sacramento Sports Commission play host to the final day of the  USA Track & Field (USATF) National Junior Olympic Championships. Cambi was checking out the 44th Annual Courtland Pear Fair.

Heather was at Nor Cal Golf center that opened up back in March and they want to make sure everyone knows what they have to offer. Heather was meeting 80 years old ML Weatherington author of "For Eleven Million Reasons" who is proving that it’s never too late to follow your dreams, She always wanted to be a writer, but being a Wife and mother always came first. Heather was at Stockton Sky Zone where they are teaming with Stockton “209” Cares who are at it again and helping make sure kids have everything they need on their first day of school.

Melissa's Run Don’t Walk Deal of the Day is Free 16 oz. Justin’s Almond Butter. #SunDog Video of the Week. Melissa was with The Giving Power where this afternoon from 2-6pm at Tetotom Park in Antelope, the local non-profit is having a huge back-to-school giveaway that includes free backpacks and school supplies, free BBQ, face painting, train rides, jump houses and more.


Cody was with Rebecca Cisneros-Barajas and Colleen Stymeist-Wood who created an inspiring documentary based on one local heroes life. “Joe 238” is a documentary on the legacy of Sacramento police officer Joseph Chairez, who saved four lives when he became an organ donor. Cody was with Eich NERDS who showed how to make Harry Potter Wands and are holding a Book fair at Roseville Barnes & Noble July 31 and online through Aug 5 as they try and get to Tennessee.

Today on Good Day Heather was meeting 80 years old ML Weatherington author of "For Eleven Million Reasons" who is proving that it’s never too late to follow your dreams, She always wanted to be a writer, but being a Wife and mother always came first. After being widowed and losing both of her children she began to write to distract her from her pain, and so at 80 years old she has published her very first book and has even began receiving reviews on it!
